Our Eighty-First Season!

As we begin our 81^st consecutive season of producing live theatrical entertainment for Flint and all of Genesee County, so many things come to mind, but by far, that which stands above the rest, is a most heartfelt and sincere sense of gratitude. Gratitude to you, our true and steadfast patrons for your passion for the arts and for your financial support which allows us to be the best we can be. Gratitude to those countless number of volunteer’s, be they actors, technicians, board members or committee chairs and the multitude of positions held, hours worked, energies expended and love for this organization that’s stands at that the very core of who we are. Gratitude indeed to all of those who are very heart and soul of what goes into each and every production, event or operational facet of FCP, never yielding or wavering in either the best or the most difficult of times. Finally, gratitude for remaining loyal and so very giving despite a lean economy and a city and country embroiled in a dramatic transition. We always look to bring a sense of joy, kinship and artistic fulfillment to help fuel the positive in each of us. Thank you for being a part of our lives and thank you for letting us be a part of yours!

Who We Are...

A group of local performing artists had a dream. They loved entertaining and wanted to present quality theatrical productions to the Flint community. The year was 1929.

What began as "The Theater Guild," was soon renamed "Flint Community Players," and their original dream has become reality...season after season. This dedicated group of volunteers, led by a professional artistic director, presents five plays each season.

The performances are staged at Bower Theater, located in the Flint Cultural Center. The organization provides a forum for area artists to expand their theatrical experiences and to showcase their talents.
