Theatre Updates

We here at FCP have been hard at work preparing for our 97th season! Our pole-barn, scene shop, and costume shop all were cleaned out and organized, the green room was rearranged, the stage got a fresh coat of paint, and even the parking lot got some love with new asphalt! We hope this work makes our space even more enjoyable for our patrons and volunteers.

On July 18th we held our second annual Dragpaloosa and it was a blast. The next day we had a table at Flint Pride and handed out plenty of Flint Community Players flyers and merch. Thank you to all the volunteers who helped us out with both of these events!

Xanadu auditions had a great turn out and resulted in an absolutely stellar cast. You won’t want to miss them in this thrilling, dazzling, groovy musical kicking off our 97th season! Tickets are available on our website now.

This summer we partnered with both For-Mar and the Flint Public Library to offer theatre classes to local youth. Adventure Theatre at For-Mar allowed kids to connect with nature while doing theatre. Our theatre workshops at the library build improvisational skills and storytelling abilities on the library stage!

What’s Next for Our Building?

In the future we hope to add a handicap accessible, unisex/family restroom available to the audience. This keeps our building accessible for ALL of our patrons.

Another, even larger project is to renovate the lobby. The plan would involve knocking out the walls for the current box office, coat room, and storage room, and turn the space into one large lobby with a simple counter for selling tickets and concessions. We hope to have this done in time for our 100th season in 2028.

Season Tickets

If you’ve come to more than one show in the past season, a Season Ticket may be right for you. Season Tickets give you 6 admissions to use anyway you like throughout the season. At $70, this saves you over $20 each season. With a purchase of a season ticket, you have the flexibility to come to every show, or you can save up your tickets to see a few shows multiple times, or even invite a few guests for a night out to a favorite play! Season Ticket holders also get their name in programs. Brand new this year, we’ve added the option to buy Season Tickets on our website. When you go to our website and click on “Tickets”, go to the “Season Tickets” tab and select your option. Once you’ve made your purchase you’ll get a coupon code to use to order your tickets for the shows of your choice.

Volunteer of the Month

Ellen Yope

Ellen has spent over 86 hours in the theater in 2025. She deep cleaned our laundry room, costumed An Adult Evening of Shel Silverstein, performed as Mrs. Mayor in Seussical, and helped us with our deep clean of the costume shop. Don't miss her as Sonny in Xanadu September 26-October 5th.

Thank you Ellen for all your hard work!
